Tonal Innovation Center (TONIC) to host 1st Annual International Musical Instruments Seminar 18 - 19 November 2010 - Exploring Sustainable Materials for Musical Instruments
The main purpose of the seminar is to increase the awareness and understanding of the International musical instrument business in general and the potential impact on the supply of raw materials – namely exotic tone woods and hardwoods.
Countries represented already include USA, German, Spain, Finland and the UK. Among the participants attending are Neil Lilien (R.S. Berkeley Co.), Toni Mingues (Maderas Barber Co.), Markku Nikkilä (Estopoli), Tim Shaw (Fender Musical Instruments Corp.), Jukka-Pekka Karppinen (Flaxwood Guitars), Michael Dickinson (C.F. Martin & Co.), Rick Nelson (Nelson International Associates), Juha Ruokangas (Ruokangas Guitars).
